How to book cheap hotels in Las Vegas

There are a few ways to get great deals on hotels in Las Vegas. This article was written to provide as many known tips as I could to my consumers to get them to Vegas for cheap.

Let me tell you something. I got in the travel industry a while back. It wasn’t long before I had all these people calling me to book, and I was like man I want to go to these places. Well, with all the places I have been Las Vegas is the most fun. Let me also tell you that I am not a gambler. I just had a blast in Las Vegas in the warm temperatures seeing all the sites. Plus I got a huge discount on my hotel.

I would start by going right to the website of the hotel directly. Most hotels have a guest book or a mailing list that you can sign up for. Once you are on their list they will send you deals on rooms. The only problem with using this method to get a cheap hotel stay is that they will constantly send you email.

The best thing you can do is plan your trip during the week. Most of the large name hotels give away rooms during the week, but double the price or more on the weekends. I suggest that you go on a Tuesday and check out on Friday. You can always find the best deals on the rooms at this time. I also suggest you look at an Airline called Allegiant Air. If you are near an airport that they fly out of they can get you to Vegas for cheap.

There are also several websites that advertise cheap hotels or discount hotels. These are the exact same rooms you can get from a hotel directly. What these sites do is buy in bulk. They call the hotel and strike a deal to book a certain amount of rooms every day for a discounted rate. They then mark up the rate but still keep it lower than the rate from the hotel directly. They then sell the room to you at a discount. They earn their money on difference in the price they sell the room to you and what they get it from the hotel for. These sites involve the least amount of work when it comes to finding great rates.

There are so many places to stay that I can’t even begin to say which is better. My preference is to stay center strip. I never recommend the Stratosphere simply because it is in very North Las Vegas and is far away from everything. It is cheap, however. I like to stay center strip and there are many hotels at good rates there. There is the Paris, The Flamingo and Bally’s. They are all decent hotels but have different price rates. The cheapest nice hotel I could recommend is the Flamingo. There is also Bill’s Gamblin Hall & Saloon which is in prime location, but has received some bad reviews. I am curious to see if it is really that bad, however, since it is a Harrah’s property.

Going to Las Vegas is exciting, and not near as expensive as one may think. The key is to book a hotel and then continue to shop. Using a hotel discount website is your best bet. Usually up until check in, if you find a lower rate, they will match it. If you don’t book something and just shop around, chances are rates will go up. As occupancy increases for the dates you are going, so do prices. That is supply and demand. My suggestion book your discount hotel as soon as you decide to go, then watch for price decreases and call your booking agent to match it!
